The Pros and Cons of Netflix

Streaming live movies from the internet directly to the computer, or receiving them via the mail is a great way to rent movies. Going to the store is a great and offers a large selection, but for those people who are busy and on the go, ordering movies from your home can be a great way to get some qualities movies fast.

Since Blockbuster started selling DVDs online, many other companies have jumped on the band wagon. One of those companies is Netflix. Netflix, however differs from Blockbuster in that they came out with both movies that come straight to your door and movies that stream instantly via the internet. Here are just some of the advantages and disadvantages of using Netflix.

Advantages

1. Offers thousands of instantly streaming videos, TV shows, and documentaries straight to the computer for one fairly low price a month. No need to go to the store, just open up the computer, find a movie, and start watching right away.

2. Offers thousands of movies straight to your door every couple of days. Movies are watched, returned, and the movies on the online queue are delivered a couple days after the last ones come in. They offer the option of anywhere from one to three movies at a time depending on how many someone chooses to watch or keep them.

Disadvantages

1. Although the website offers plenty of movies to choose from, the movies do not always change frequently and the customer can be left searching hard for interesting movies. Also, depending on the internet connection, movies sometimes stream irregularly.

2. When going to the movie store or searching for a movie online the viewer knows what they want to watch at that particular time, while sometimes movies that were preselected come when the customer is in the mood for another movie.
