The Golden Globes have wrapped up another successful year in television. The problem for some people is with so many people recommending so many shows, what are the best shows to commit too. No one wants to invest the time in a marginal or even a good show. People want great shows because that’s what they are told is out there. Below are some great shows that are sure to keep your attention and well worth the investment.
1.) Dexter- If you can handle a little blood then Dexter is a fantastic show. Perhaps the greatest show created by the network Showtime unless you are a die hard Weeds fan. The suspense the show manages to hold from episode to episode is only surpassed by the shows ability to keep the show fresh from season to season. Dexter has been on for several years now and the first few season as all available on DVD and Netflix.
2.) Breaking Bad- This AMC show absolutely pushes the limits of great TV. Leading actor Bryan Cranston has won many major awards for his portrayal of a down and out science teacher who finds out he has terminal cancer. His character Walter White plays of Jesse Pinkman, a former high school student of his. Together, the form a modern day Ozzie and Harriet and are an endlessly entertaining duo.
3.) Intervention- This A&E classic simply never fails its audience. You get to see people at their absolute worst, victimized by drug abuse and tearing their families apart in the process. Throughout this show you experience the real pain of the addicts and their families and the triumph that’s possible when they conquer their addictions.
Great TV is in the eye of the beholder of course but I behoove anyone to find fault with these shows. There are a fantastic blend of suspense and emotion so give them a shot if you haven’t already.
